Three key benefits of Workplace Financial Education

At Four Wealth Management, our Workplace Financial Education programme is a series of interactive seminars held at your workplace for employees to help them understand their finances. Seminars last approximately one hour and are tailored to life stages, for example those approaching retirement. Our workplace financial education seminars are complimentary and run at your workplace at a time convenient to your employees.

Below are some of the key benefits of offering workplace financial education.

Improved employee productivity

36% of workers report a drop in productivity of 1 hour per day due to financial difficulties*. This is potentially a loss of 5 hours per week per employee which can be costly to your business.

Our workplace financial education programme is a series of one hour seminars held at your workplace. A one hour seminar to help your employees with their financial issues could help your business to significantly reduce this loss of five hours per week.

Reduce costs to the business

Over 4.2 million working days were lost as a result of 500,000 private sector workers taking time off in the last year due to the impact of poor financial wellbeing*. This could be significantly reduced by offering workplace financial education to employees to help them take control of their finances. This ‘absentessim’ cost £630 million averaging £150 per employee per day*.

Employees that take advantage of financial education offered to them could be less stressed and therefore more focussed in the work environment. This will also mean they are less likely to take days off for stress-related sick days.

Shows you are a responsible employer

Providing your employees with financial education will give them a greater understanding of their finances and allow them to make informed decisions. This demonstrates that you care about the financial wellbeing of your employees and can be considered as an employee benefit in its own right.
